This wonderful product was made in North Carolina with the finest cedar wood possible.  This item can be used as they are, waterproofing whit stain and or polyurethane is optional and it takes 6 weeks to obtained from the day of purchased.  Please note that this item should never be totally immerse in water, if that happens just clean and let it air dry away.  It is best to alternate dishes.  Use one for a couple of weeks & clean it and allow it to air dry.  Use a damp cloth to remove soap residue.  You can use a toothbrush ( soft) to clean the slots if needed and always let it air dry.
